When you have a vehicle to express yourself, your whole being feels free. We all live busy lives and having the gratification of creating art is a huge release. One reason why I do art is have a legacy beyond my life time. To be there for as many people I can even beyond my life time means so much. Having art as a piece of each artist imortalizes a fragment of who they are. When you look at artists from the past times, their art tells a story in their current day and time. Picture yourself as the artist creating what you see in front of you and ask yourself what is the artist projecting. Diving deep on the mental, physical, emotional, psychological aspects from art all over the world brightens minds to think beyond the day to day life. With art, building your imagine will help guide you in the process of forming the expression from the mind.

Giving Back To Make A Difference

I recently read an article on Gerhard Richter in him giving one million dollar plus from the sales of his art. The one million dollars is to build homes for the homeless. There is a huge percentage of people living paycheck to paycheck so if they lose their employment, homelessness is close by. Sometimes it has nothing to do with them through several different circumstances it happens. To have the acknowledgement of the artists of the world help others in need even temporary will give others including the homeless a chance to believe in another opportunity to believe theirself and capabilities they have more then just a job they used to have. As the global art community we must be the force of opening minds and speaking to the world on a deeper level.

Message Is More Important Then Material For Your Art

The message you convey in your art is more important then only the material you create it with. Now, at the same time, do make your art with the best materials you can purchase because you want your work to last as long as possible. Go the extra mile while doing your work. When collectors see how much work and care you put into your art, they will want to purchase along with the connecting story. Align yourself with those who identify and connect with you. Build relationships because this is the foundation of your business since this is 85% of the sales. The trust you build and how you make people feel is everything in whether they want to do business with you now and or continue in the future.

Failure Is Only Temporary

Every artist has challenging times. It is how you define those into shifting where you need to be. Sometimes facing your reality can be brutal. You have to realize you have to create what is special to your collector with the message you bring. Re-evalute where you are failing, Be honest with yourself. I personally have failed many times. I use it as a lesson learned. Understand the mission you have is within you to be the solution for others in your own special way.

Art is the answer to so many issues we face as being human. It has helped me in so many areas when I felt I didn't have anyone to talk with. I was very quiet child growing up. My childhood was rough and my father was an  abusive alcoholic, I was made fun of so badly growing up.Art is the vehicle to being myself in all forms in the symbolism. I believe the art world will benenfit when the general public is able to understand where the artist is coming from instead of dismissing the work by labeling it. With the art I have created, I love seeing pure joy in other's faces when they experience what is going on in my mind into a physical form. It is the pure joy of seeing others it creates a new life compared to only keeping it to yourself. The world needs you and your mind.
